Write an interior design proposal from your site visit notes

You come back from a site visit with a page of notes. The client wants a proposal, and they want it soon.

Typing it out is slow. AI can write it for you. But AI can add work you never discussed. It can also get the stage amounts wrong.

Here is how to get a proposal you can send, with amounts you have checked.

What to give the AI

Give it your notes as they are, room by room:

• Living room: TV wall with storage, false ceiling with cove lights
• Kitchen: modular, L-shape, quartz top, tall unit for the oven
• Master bedroom: 8 ft sliding wardrobe, study table by the window
• Kids room: bunk bed and wardrobe
• Client wishes: finishes that are easy to clean, no dark wood

Then add the style, the time needed and the project total.

Work out the stages first

Don't ask the AI to work out the payment stages. Do it yourself, on a calculator or in a spreadsheet. It takes two minutes.

For a project total of ₹13,20,000:

Check two things. The percentages add up to 100. The amounts add up to the project total.

Rules:
- Group the work by room, as short bullet points. Use only what my notes say.
- Mention the style and the client's wishes from my notes.
- Copy the total and every stage amount exactly. Don't change or round any number.
- If my notes don't name materials or brands, write [CHECK: materials and brands].
- Don't write contract terms, warranty terms or penalties.
- Warm and friendly. Under 300 words.

What to check before you send it

1. The work. Every item should be in your notes. Remove anything the AI added, like a shoe rack or a puja unit you never discussed.
2. The amounts. Each stage amount should match your table, digit for digit.
3. The time. "10 weeks from design sign-off" should not become "10 weeks from booking".
4. [CHECK] lines. Fill in each one, or delete it. Never send a proposal with [CHECK] in it.

Why this works

You do the sums, and the AI does the writing. AI is good with words and less reliable with numbers. So the amounts come from you, and the AI only copies them.

"Use only what my notes say" stops the AI from adding work. And [CHECK] gives it a way to say something is missing, instead of guessing.
