AI for Tax & Accounting: notice replies, bills and client reminders

An edition with five tax and accounting workflows. Draft notice replies, turn messy bills into tables and send clients tax and filing reminders.

A tax practice has the same shape every month. Bills arrive as photos. A client forwards an ASMT-10 notice at 9 pm. GSTR-1 is due on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th, and half the bank statements are still missing.

Much of that is writing: replies, tables and reminders. AI can draft them quickly. But in tax work, a wrong figure or an invented citation costs far more than the time it saved.

AI for Tax & Accounting is five workflows for that work. You paste what you have. The AI drafts. You check it and send it.

The five workflows

  1. ASMT-10 reply. Drafts a reply to a GST scrutiny notice from the facts you give: what the department says, what happened, and your reconciliation.
  2. AIS / TIS mismatch reply. Drafts a reply to an income tax mismatch, with the challan details you paste: CIN, BSR code, date and amount.
  3. Bills into tables. Turns a messy bill or statement into a table, shows every sum step by step, and marks any figure it can't read, or a GST rate the bill doesn't show, as [CHECK].
  4. Advance tax message. A short WhatsApp message telling a client the instalment, the amount and the date.
  5. Monthly filing reminder. A WhatsApp reminder for GSTR-1 or GSTR-3B, with the documents you still need and your cut-off date.

What you check

Nothing goes to the portal or to a client until you send it. Before you do, check three things.

  • Citations. The notice replies and client messages are told never to write a section, rule, case, circular or rate. Where the reply needs one, it leaves [CHECK: section or rule] for you to fill in. Read every line before you file. No AI tool can promise it followed an instruction.
  • Figures. Every amount should match what you pasted. The bill workflow shows its sums, so you can check them line by line.
  • Anything you didn't give it. If a reminder mentions interest or a late fee you didn't give it, check it or take it out.

Guides for three of the workflows

Each guide gives you the request to copy, and what to check before you send.

The course comes with it

The edition includes the Working With AI course. It teaches the habits behind these workflows: give the AI the facts, tell it what not to do, and check what comes back. You can use the same habits for any other task in your practice.

See it first

The edition page shows an example of each workflow, so you can see what it writes. Once you buy, you run them on your own notices, bills and clients.

The lessons behind this

  • Working With AI · Lesson 9

Get reliable data out of documents

Tell the AI exactly which details to pull from a document, let it say when one isn't there, and check what it gives you.

  • Working With AI · Lesson 5

    Catch confident wrong answers

Decide how you'll check a reply before you ask for it, so a wrong answer doesn't reach anyone.
